What is the minimum investment amount?

With Clim8, you can start investing with as little as £25.

How to contribute to your Clim8 Invest account

You can pay money into your Clim8 Invest account inside our app using the “easy bank transfer” feature, powered by open banking. Alternatively, you can do a manual transfer, from your bank account.  

When will the contribution appear in my Clim8 Invest account?

This is all dependent on your bank and method of payment, on average one working day.

Why has my portfolio value not gone up or down?

We trade twice a week (our trading days may alternate); any payments received after 5 pm these days will be executed the following trading day to be invested in the financial market.

Why has my contribution been rejected and returned to my bank account?

There are typically two reasons:

   1. The money you sent may have come from a bank account not registered with your Clim8 account, a so-called ‘non-nominated’ bank account.
   2. The unique payment reference was not included or was incorrect. In order for us to accept your payment, please ensure you use your unique payment reference number every time you make a payment. This is for us to identify that the money belongs to you.

Why is my payment not showing in my account?

Contributions/payments will generally show within your Clim8 account the next working day. If you have just made a payment, please check that the funds have been deducted from your bank account. If they have not, then the payment most likely wasn’t successful and you will need to try again. 

I selected the easy bank transfer payment method but cannot see my nominated bank provider?

We use a third-party called TrueLayer when you select the easy bank transfer payment method. They work with many bank providers, which you will be able to see in the list. If you cannot find your nominated bank provider, this means TrueLayer and your bank provider are not integrated. Therefore, simply opt for the regular bank transfer payment method in order to make a payment. 

How can I make a direct debit/recurring payment?

At the moment we do not support direct debits or recurring payments, but this is on our public roadmap and we hope to develop this capability soon.

Can I end up in debt by investing with Clim8?

No, you cannot lose more money than you put into an ISA or GIA account with Clim8 Invest. You can however, in a worst case scenario, lose any amount invested.
